Glorifying God Blesses Us
The Bible verse of Saturday, July 13th came from John 15. I learned that God gives us what we want if we live to love like His commandment says in verse 12 to continue pressing on as Paul says in Philippians 3:14.
Jesus, then, goes on to explain that abiding in Him means to follow His commandment of love (John 15:10). We become God’s love when we do what He commands because His commandments are all about love (Matthew 22:35-40). According to the American Psychiatric Association, personality consists of thinking, feeling, and behaving. If these actions are dictated by God’s love, we become that.
To continue in God’s love, Jesus says that He tells us that if we abide in Him, God will give us what we ask so that we can keep His joy to glorify God (John 15:11). God wants the world to see how great His love is (Psalty Kid's Praise 2 - A Joyful Noise), and He does this by blessing us with what we ask to encourage us so that we show the same love as an outpouring of gratitude.
